Last December 2017 my children visited me in my working place at Daanbantayan, Cebu. They stayed in my
rented room for two days and I brought them to JAM Beach House to explore its
scenery and enjoy the company of my friends who were all my co workers in
school.JAM Beach House is peacefully located in Tapilon, Daanbantayan,Cebu. The cozy ambiance of the beach is very inviting for a whole day fun. My
children enjoyed their stay in the beach house for they find it a very relaxing
place while spending time with me in their stay in Daanbantayan, Cebu. It was a
worthwhile experience for them. The beach house has several rooms for guests who want to spend their
time out of their home. It has swimming pools which are very attractive with
its blue colored water with 6 ft deep. The Jacuzzi bubble bath pool will unwind
your stress and unload your hidden tensions. Nobody can reject the pool’s
invitation once you are there. So better visit and explore the place. I too
believed what famous writer Benjamin Disraeli said, “Like all great travellers,
I have seen more than I remember and remember more than I have seen.”

When Work Meets Pleasure
Emelia Hotel and Resort is located in Kawit, Medellin, Cebu. The place was so amazing for me as I am new to the place. It was a peaceful resort with several air conditioned rooms for guests. It has big function rooms suited for gatherings and get together parties. There are swimming polls and cottages for those who want to go swimming. I enjoyed getting along with all other school heads forgetting my loneliness working away from home.
I have known countless people who are happy with their
work. They find meaning, significance, and joy in it. Additionally, I have met
many people who are unhappy with their work and choose to spend an additional
percentage of their life complaining about it. Interestingly enough, these
differences in attitudes have little to do with the actual work being done.
Pleasure and work should be inseparable in doing the
actual job. Changing our attitude towards work is often far easier than
changing jobs. Our attitude towards work can find joy and fulfillment in it.Pleasure in work eliminates stress and promotes hard work leading
to success. Working hard for someone we don’t care about is called stress while
working hard for someone we love is called passion.

I Love Daanbantayan
It was just last September 6, 2017 when I arrived at Daanbantayan,Cebu,
a place so foreign to me. Many questions were bothering me since it was my
first time to be away from home. What will happen to me in this distant land?
What will my life be without my family? How will I work with people I don’t know
so well? Will I be happy working here and living alone? These are the questions
whose answers were all unknown.
I learned to love Daanbantayan after my six months stay in this place working and living alone. The people and the place turned out to be a heaven for me. They are so hospitable, kind-hearted and worth loving. I learned to love the people around me and so with my job coupled with a dignified office created for me. The warm welcome they all had for me last September was even made warmer.
Daanbantayan is a 1st municipal income class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines which is located at the northern tip of Cebu
island. It is 128 kilometers away from Cebu City with
about 3-4 hours travel time. It has a total land
area of 10,455 hectares with 20 barangays (2 island, 13 coastal and 5 inland) namely Aguho, Bagay, Bakhawan, Bateria, Bitoon, Calape,
Carnaza, Dalingding, Lanao, Logon, Malbago, Malingin, Maya, Pajo, Paypay,
Poblacion, Talisay, Tapilon, Tinubdan and Tominjao.
Daanbantayan celebrates its annual fiesta along with the Haladaya Festival which starts 21 August and ends with street-dancing on 30 August in honor of Datu Daya, the legendary founder of the town. The name Daanbantayan was derived from two words: the word "daan" which means "old" in Cebuano, and the word "bantayan" which refers to a place that served as a look out for Moro raiders during the Pre-Hispanic Philippines.

Daanbantayan is now known for its pristine, white powder-like sandy
beaches – one of which is Malapascua Island. With its vast and rich marine
resources, it hosts a long string of dive sites offering unique marine life and
beauty. It has also an old church which was built during the Spanish times. It is made of brick
stones and it still in a very good condition although there are interior
portions that have already been renovated and the original design was already
changed. But the façade is still intact and in its original design.
This beautiful, peaceful
municipality remains strong despite the past typhoon Yolanda that tested its
people and made Daanbantayan even more prominent among local and foreign
visitors including myself. So why not explore and discover what made me love
the place called Daanbantayan.

Valentine's Across The Miles
1 Corinthians 13:4-7: “Love is patient and kind; love is not
jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its
own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but
rejoices in the right. Love bears
all things; believes all things; hopes all things; endures all things.” The Bible preaches that we should love
one another.
Valentine’s day is celebrated even across the miles. February
14 could be your most awaited day! It's a day set for giving red roses, hearts
and valentine cards. Exchanging of flowers, love
thoughts and sentiments accompanied with feelings of admiration, affection and
at times infatuation is also very evident everywhere. On this day, expensive
gifts are exchanged. Expensive dates are set. It is a special day for
expressing love. Although this trend of celebrating February14 as Valentine's
Day is an old one, it is still a trending issue. It
is a great and memorable day for lovers.
Love is in the air during valentine's day. Valentine’s Day is a day
for loving and sharing. A day for sharing our care with our loved ones, friends
and relatives. On this day couples put
their best foot forward. It’s a day to celebrate love. Love
of yourself, for struggles, love for life and for everyone in your life. Love
is not only expressed orally but more so in action. Love
then is when the other person’s happiness is more important than your own.

Working Away From Home Is A Sacrifice
Have you ever been to a place you’re supposed to love, but all you
think about is home? Home is where love resides, memories are created, family
always belong and laughter never ends.
Adventure must start from running away from home. While most girls run
away from home to marry, I ran away to work. I left home just to pursue grandeur ambition and grab my job
promotion. I left friends and family for greater possibilities and make deeper connections. I defied my fear of change, hold my head high and do what I once thought was unthinkable yet I walked away though it was scary.
There are times that I smile but I wanna cry. I talk but I wanna be quiet. I pretend that
I am happy but I ain't because I am missing home and I wanna be with
family. The love of a family is life’s greatest blessing. It is where life begins
and love never ends. Due to the love of my family I worked away from home for a greener pasture praying that one day God will reward me with a nearer working opportunity and stay happy.

Mary Ann is a traveller and believes that travelling is enjoying life to its fullest. She is a silent
type of a woman with a kind heart and a loving person. She is full of faith,

confuse her with being too soft. She is strong enough to overcome abuse, loss
and bad choices with dignity. Mary Ann is a good friend, sister,
